Introduction to Watson Twin Academy Teachers: Clare Watson TCRG & Lisa Watson TCRG
“‘Irish Dance has been in our family for generations our Grandfather danced at the crossroads in Doolin Co Clare (the home of Irish Music and Dance) and our Mum danced for the late Ms May Herlihy. What had started out as a hobby soon turned into an undeniable love and passion for Irish Dance”
“Excellence is dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible”
“The most rewarding part of teaching is seeing students succeed, whether it be winning competitions regularly or mastering their hardest steps, the triumph and excitement that overcomes them is priceless.”

123’s for Tiny Feet
Does your little one have that hop-skip-jump energy? Our ‘123’s for Tiny Feet’ Tiny Tots classes for 3 – 4 year olds introduce boys and girls to the joy of Irish Dance in a fun and nurturing environment
We understand how important early childhood education is and also health and fitness in today’s society, keeping active is an essential part of life. We have designed a specific program for preschool children that introduce them to Irish culture through the medium of Irish Dance and define their gross and fine Motor skills. The children will move to Irish Music as we practice all the fundamentals of Irish Dance in games and rhymes, moving up on toes for balance and making dance shapes with their feet, music listening skills and learning left and right.
We understand Irish Dance and culture needs to be nurtured in their little minds from an early age and our aspirations are to stimulate new ways to keep the children interested and involved in Irish Dance independently and as a team.
Watson Twin Academy performs at various community events, fundraisers, weddings, and corporate events. Dancers have performed for the President of Ireland, TV programs, commercials, newscasts etc
We participate in local community outreach projects, such as dancing at cultural celebrations and regularly visiting the elderly at nearby nursing homes and hospitals.
Weaving traditional and contemporary patterns, our dancers entertain audiences large and small and volunteers from the audience will learn to dance an “Irish Jig.”
WTA Dance Studio
Clare and Lisa are delighted to have opened their door to their state of the Art, purpose built Irish Dance Studio, complete with Harlequin Sprung Dance Floor and Wall to Wall mirrors. The studio is situated in a prime location In the Spawell Complex Templeogue Dublin 6, just off exit 11 off the M50.
“It has been our dream since we were children to have our own studio one day, with hard work and determination this dream has become a reality. It is an honour to be able to share this space with our pupils and future pupils, to help them grow and develop as young dancers. We wanted to offer the best possible dance studio to teach our students in. And we are so thrilled to have this as our new home.
We have a hard working and loyal Academy who amaze us everyday with their talents and enthusiasm. It is because of them and there wonderfully supportive families that we love our job so much. This studio is for them and for every student who crosses our door in the future.” Clare Watson”

Claire and Lisa are brilliant teachers and great with the girls. Abi has come out of her shell a lot more and achieved so much since starting the classes over a year ago. The girls are so dedicated to helping their students become the best dancers that they can. I can not fault them in any way or speak more highly of them. XxVickie Flynn
Clare and Lisa have a passion for dance and are two very talented teachers. They have a wonderful dance class of dedicated students and my child adores them both. I have watched my daughter Brooke flourish over the last 2 years with Watson Twin Academy. Lisa and Clare are amazing teachers and have created an environment which promotes and inspires self-confidence, nurtures self-belief and encourages hard work. Brooke has learned discipline and good behaviour while having tremendous fun. The girls are more than just dance teachers, they are great friends and an inspiration to all the students. Their dedication and devotion shines through in all their WTA stars xxLaura Boylan
The best thing that ever happened was Lisa & Clare starting up Watson Twin Academy just as my own lil 4 year old Hollie was ready to learn to dance. I have watched Hollie and the academy grow over the last two years and certainly a school to watch, from day one it has been a fun, dedicated, confident approach to irish dancing and am proud to be part of such a talented school. As a past dancer am now living the dream again smile emoticonThanks Lisa & Clare your an inspiration heart emoticonMandy McCarthy
